The Glocal Network on Media and Development (Glocal NOMAD) is a network between Roskilde University, Aarhus University and Malmo University that aims to create an organized setting for Danish and cross-border knowledge production in the field of media and communication for development. Read more here.
Since the Glocal Nomad network has terminated, this site is defunct since April 2011. The site will remain accessible as an archive and documentation.

Glocal NOMAD in collaboration with the Centre for Glocal Media Studies (GMS) hosts a half-day seminar on 24 March 2011 in Aarhus:
Media and Development. The aim is to present and discuss Different Perspectives on the interrelations between Media and Processes of Political, Social and Cultural Change in the Global South.
Presentations will cover case studies in Nicaragua, Nepal, as well as global, north-south perspectives. For detailed programme and venue see the GMS site or download here.
The seminar on ‘Media and Development’ will be followed by an
internal Glocal NOMAD seminar on Friday 25 March, 2011. Separate program for this seminar will be made available.

The research seminar on Media and ICT in a Glocalized World takes place at
Incuba Science Park, Helsingforsgade 15, Århus, Bld. 5524 room 147;
Tuesday 14 December 2010 at 13-17 hrs.
The recently launched Centre for Glocal Media Studies (GMS) at Århus University organizes this research seminar where researchers from the centre will present current research projects. The primary aim of GMS is to study the interrelationship between media and new ICTs and processes of political, social and cultural change in Global South.
